Great parks - no coffee - South

Here is a list of great parks and playgrounds south of the river that unfortunately don't have coffee nearby. We suggest taking a thermos or just having a quick visit!

Some of the parks on the list we have visited.  The rest of the list is other parks suggested by visitors to the site - thank you! If you know any others for the list - please let us know - click the Suggest a Park tab in the top right hand corner!

Shelley Foreshore Shelley
A lovely playground at the edge of the Canning River - softfall on the ground, modern playequipment, toilets, some tables and bbqs.  Shade comes from big trees.  A great place for riding bikes or scootering along the path around the river. Take Beatrice Ave off Leach Hwy and keep going until you hit the playground!
Manning Park - Spearwood

A new large playground with a castle theme. A combination of sand and softfall on the ground and not fenced.

The park is a lovely place for a picnic.

Bibra Lake Reserve - Progress Drive Bibra Lake

A boat theme steel frame playground, with lots of tall slides. Lots of open space around and picnic and bbq facilities.

Piney Lakes - Murdoch Drive Murdoch

This playground is a bit different, it is a 'sensory playground' with interesting equipment and activities for the kids.  There is no shade over the play area, and no fences between the play area and the lake.  There is lots of grass to picnic on.

John Graham Reserve / Woodman Point Regional Park - Coogee

This great picnic and play area is by the beach in Coogee / Spearwood.  It is a big open area with a central playground, lots of picnic gazebos and barbeques.  The playground has shade sails. There is lots of open space for riding bikes and scooters or kicking a ball.

Tom Bateman Park - Nicholson Road Canning Vale

A good playground and picnic area near the baseball stadium.

Garvey Park - Fauntleroy Ave Redcliffe

A large park on the water's edge with picnic tables, toilets and a great playground with interesting equipment.

Fantasy Park - Rand Ave, Waikiki

Good BBQ facilities and toilets.

City Park, Westralia Gardens, Rockingham (not far from Hungry Jacks)

BBQ facilities and toilets

Mills Park Brixton St Beckenham

A great park for little kids  - there are toilets on the other site of the car park from the playground.  The park has heaps of shade and tables and chairs for picnics.

Pioneer Park Gosnells

Off Federation Parade - not many details!

Rockingham City Park

The park has lots of different play areas for all ages.  There are toilets, but no cafe.  There is a lake and exercise equipment spread around the lake. McDonald's is nearby if you need coffee on the way!.
