Here is a list of great parks and playgrounds south of the river that unfortunately don't have coffee nearby. We suggest taking a thermos or just having a quick visit! Some of the parks on the list we have visited. The rest of the list is other parks suggested by visitors to the site - thank you! A new large playground with a castle theme. A combination of sand and softfall on the ground and not fenced. The park is a lovely place for a picnic. Bibra Lake Reserve - Progress Drive Bibra LakeA boat theme steel frame playground, with lots of tall slides. Lots of open space around and picnic and bbq facilities. Piney Lakes - Murdoch Drive MurdochThis playground is a bit different, it is a 'sensory playground' with interesting equipment and activities for the kids. There is no shade over the play area, and no fences between the play area and the lake. There is lots of grass to picnic on. John Graham Reserve / Woodman Point Regional Park - CoogeeThis great picnic and play area is by the beach in Coogee / Spearwood. It is a big open area with a central playground, lots of picnic gazebos and barbeques. The playground has shade sails. There is lots of open space for riding bikes and scooters or kicking a ball. Tom Bateman Park - Nicholson Road Canning ValeA good playground and picnic area near the baseball stadium. Garvey Park - Fauntleroy Ave RedcliffeA large park on the water's edge with picnic tables, toilets and a great playground with interesting equipment.
