|Pioneer Park Gosnells|
Pioneer Park is a fabulous play area in a little patch of bush beside the Canning River in Gosnells. The playground is down below street level and there is a long wooden ramp walkway through the trees to get down to the play area - great for scootering down if your kids are a bit older.
The playground is new style with a huge climbing net. The net is more horizontal than vertical so it doesn't get too high off the ground. There is colourful softball on the ground. You can take a walk over to the river and watch the water flow by, and there is a fence between the play area and the river.
The playground has a few benches around the edge of the play area for mums and dads, but only one picnic table. There is a bbq as well. The toilets in the park are a small walk away across the grass and through the amphitheatre area. Parking is close by the top entrance of the park, next to the Community Centre.
The coffee comes from the shops along Albany Hwy which is very close by the entrance to the park. Just go up the ramp and across the road and you are at the back of the shops that line Albany Hwy. There is a coffee shop in the Community Centre building (the closest building to the entrance to the park) which does takeaway and is open Monday - Saturday. There are also other places you could probably find coffee on a Sunday.
