Northcliffe is a great little town in the southern forests - not far from Pemberton and about 4 and a bit hours from Perth. We were going to drive right through, but stopped when we saw the great playground.

The playground has been recently updated, there were some great new pieces of play equipment. There is no shade sails above the playground but lots of trees.

The playground is next to the Northcliffe Pioneer Museum and very close to the visitors centre. There is a nice picnic area under a gazebo next to it.   There are public toilets in the carpark area across the road.

Across the road (diagonally) is the Hollowbutt Cafe, which is next to the Northcliffe General Store.  The cafe does light meals and dine in or takeaway coffee.  We were impressed with the coffee - made with local milk, and very good.

Incidently, the Bibbulmun Track runs through Northcliffe right next to the playground, so if you are feeling energetic you can hike from there to Albany!
