The foreshore area at Floreat Beach has a small but excellent grassed picnic area, a playground and a cafe.  The picnic area has groovy shelters, picnic tables and bbqs.  The playground is an fairly new and interesting, has shade sails and is right next to the toilets (handy if you have toddlers!).  

The cafe is called The Kiosk, and it has a lovely inside sit down area with ocean views that is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.  Check out their website for menus and opening times - www.thekioskfloreatbeach.com.au  The takeaway section of The Kiosk serves coffee,  drinks and gelato ice cream.  We must confess that the day we went there is was quite hot and we had ice cream instead of coffee!!
